This production will feature close to 100 dancers from grades 3 to 8, performing an array of exciting new routines and fresh choreography.

Dance principal Karen Vick, who has run the academy on Fitzgerald Avenue for 25 years, said the show encourages students to explore their artistic and theatrical sides by embracing different characters and stories.

“Each piece reflects the many places we call home, from underwater worlds to historical settings and even utopian visions,” Ms Vick said. “The dancers have truly brought these diverse themes to life.”

The 10:00am performance has already sold out, with limited tickets remaining for the 3:00pm show.

Tickets are $42.50 for adults, $30.50 for pension and senior card holders and $27.50 for children (high school age and under). Bookings can be made via TryBooking.com.

Then, dig out their best jewellery and dress up in style for the academy’s glittering finale production, ‘Bejewelled’, on Saturday 22 November at the Innisfail Shire Hall from 6:30pm.

Over 50 dancers from grade 10 students through to adults will take to the stage, joined by special guests including Glenn Wood, a Sydney-born tap dancer now based in Euramo.

The Bejewelled performance rated MA 15+ will feature a licensed bar with most proceeds from the night donated to World Animal Protection, an organisation that has campaigned for 75 years to end animal cruelty and suffering.

Tickets for Bejewelled go on sale from 8 November via TryBooking.com.
