Innisfail trio victors at Thursday afternoon games
THURSDAY afternoon social bowls on 25 September, saw over 30 bowlers playing on five rinks.

The team of Mark Elliott, Warren Sinclair and Rod McMillan finished victorious with a score of 25, while Wayne O’Neill, Kevin Bliss and Ted Pearce finished as runners up one point behind.
The jackpot went off which was won by Bob Chaplain’s team.
Recently, Innisfail members played in the 2026 Taylor Bowls State Challenge and came away with a narrow first round win against a strong Weipa Bowls Club side at West Cairns Bowls Club.
Innisfail teams played the second and third rounds against some very tough competition from Edge Hill.
This inaugural statewide competition which kicked off in the Tropical Far North Queensland district featured ten clubs from Tully to Weipa.
Mark Elliott, Rod McMillan and Geoff Johnston from Innisfail Bowls Club finished as runners up in the Silkwood Classic Open Fours with a score of three wins +49.
New members and visitors are invited to join in on Thursdays, with names to be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start. The cost is $15 which includes two games of 12 ends, smoko and jackpot.
Mixed bowls are played on Saturday with names to be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start at a cost of $10.
