‘Awesome’ night for all
BIG hair, neon colours and nostalgia took over Brothers Leagues Club Innisfail, as entertainers Attori, the dynamic duo Rick Romeo and Nyree Woods transported the crowd straight back to the 1980s with their smash hit Awesome 80s Quiz and Dance Show.

The night earlier this month kicked off with a lively trivia competition, where around 10 teams battled through four rounds testing their knowledge of 80s music, movies and pop culture.
Friendly rivalry quickly turned into laughter, storytelling and plenty of reminiscing about the decade that gave us sequins, synth and some of the biggest hits of all time.
Once trivia wrapped up, the energy surged as Attori launched into a full night of live 80s classics.
The dance floor filled instantly, with the crowd singing along to favourites like ‘Footloose’, ‘Walking on Sunshine’, ‘Run to Paradise’, ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’, ‘Karma Chameleon’, ‘I Love Rock ’n’ Roll’, ‘Summer of ’69’, ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’, ‘Love Shack’, ‘Nutbush City Limits’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘I Will Survive’.
Prizes for best dancers added to the fun, including a couple of standout breakdancers who stole the spotlight.
Audience feedback was glowing. Maureen Saro said: “Great night, thanks Attori and Nick.” Ena Daniels, who previously attended a show in the Burdekin, said: “A non-stop blast.
“The crowd danced until the end and many sang along. I had comments from 18-year-olds right through to over 50s and everyone loved it,” she said.
Romeo, originally from Ayr, has been entertaining crowds for more than 20 years.
At the end of May he brought his popular ‘Dinner at Nonna’s’ show to Innisfail, a warm, comedic celebration of Italian/Sicilian/Australian family life filled with music, storytelling and audience interaction.
The Awesome 80s Quiz and Dance Show once again proved why Attori continues to draw crowds across North Queensland: it’s the perfect blend of trivia, live music and pure nostalgic joy, a night where everyone can sing, dance and relive the decade that defined a generation.
