Buy a sausage for cancer
THE Mission Beach Lions Club is inviting the community to come along and support the Lions ‘Biggest BBQ 2026’.

A club spokesman said club members would be firing up the barbecue at Mitre 10 Mission Beach on Saturday 24 October, from 8.30am to 11.30am, “with plenty of sausages sizzling and a great opportunity for locals to stop by, say hello and support an incredibly worthwhile cause”.
“The Lions Biggest BBQ raises funds and awareness for the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation, which supports vital research into childhood cancer,” he said.
“Their vision is simple but incredibly important – 100% survival for kids with cancer.
“As a local Lions Club, events like this are also a wonderful chance for us to connect with the Mission Beach community.
“We’re very grateful for the support we receive from local residents and businesses and we hope to see plenty of familiar faces on the day.
“So, if you’re out and about on Saturday morning, please pop into Mitre 10, grab a sausage and help us support a future where every child has the chance at a healthy life.”
Event details: Saturday 24 October, from 8:30am–11:30am, at Mitre 10 Mission Beach.
