A Cassowary Coast Regional Council spokeswoman said the site was now live and open to all electric vehicle drivers.

“The new Supercharger site is listed on Tesla’s global website and visible within every Tesla vehicle’s navigation system, putting Tully on the map for EV drivers across Australia,” she said.

“The installation is expected to attract more visitors to the township, supporting local businesses and enhancing tourism within the Cassowary Coast region.

“Delivered by Tesla under a Supercharger licence agreement with council, this project forms part of a Queensland Government initiative to expand the state’s electric vehicle charging network. There was no cost to council associated with the delivery of this project.

“Council thanks the community and local businesses for their patience and cooperation during the works.”
