Delay to pool opening

DUE to an unforeseen delay involving the renovation of the female amenities, the reopening of the Innisfail pool has been postponed by about two weeks.

A Cassowary Coast Regional Council spokeswoman said the pool would reopen on Saturday 15 August.

“The good news is we’re excited to welcome PCYC Queensland as the new operator of the Innisfail pool,” she said.

“Council and PCYC are working closely behind the scenes to prepare for the reopening, including final maintenance works and program planning.

“More information about memberships, learn-to-swim, programs and operating hours will be shared closer to the reopening date.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool soon.”
