Desert Rose mobile centre visits Cassowary Coast

Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre Desert Rose is visiting towns North-west and Far North of Queensland in the coming weeks. The mobile service centre will be offering the community easy access to Medicare and Centrelink services and can provide information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs services.

Desert Rose will visit the following location on the Cassowary Coast: 

  • Cardwell on Friday 29 August in front of the library, Balliol Street (9:00am to 4:00pm) 

  • Tully on Monday 1 September adjacent to IGA Supermarket, Morris Street (9:00am to 4:00pm) 

  • Wongaling Beach on Tuesday 2 September in the Mission Beach Market Place car park, Dickinson Street (9:00am to 4:00pm) 

Mobile service centres are 20 tonne trucks operated by staff from Services Australia, providing regional and rural Australians with friendly face-to-face services and tailored support. Staff on board this trip can help with:     

  • Centrelink claims   

  • Payment and services information   

  • Updating information  

  • Confirming documents and supporting information  

  • myGov services  

  • Social work support and referrals  

  • Medicare registrations 

  • Accessing online services through a self-service terminal.
