Dog regos due by 30 June
CASSOWARY Coast dog registration renewals are due by 30 June.
A council spokeswoman said included with this year’s renewal notice was an option to sign up to receive registration renewal notices via email.
“Make sure your dog registration is paid by 30 June 2026,” she said.
“Unregistered dogs found wandering at large could incur fines over $300”.
Eligible discounts apply for:
Desexed dogs (50% discount)
Pensioners (50% discount)
AdvertisementPuppies under six months (free registration)
Working dogs and assistance dogs (free registration)
“If this is the first time you are registering your dog, you’ll receive a lifetime registration tag,” the spokeswoman said.
“Please ensure your dog wears this tag at all times. Replacement tags are available if lost.
“Registering your dog helps council return lost pets home quickly and supports responsible pet ownership across the Cassowary Coast.”
