Gambling benefit grants
GRANTS of up to $35,000 are available to not-for-profit community groups across Queensland under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Round 127 offers grants to groups for a range of projects including buying sporting equipment, upgrading community facilities, providing first aid training, holding local events and installing solar systems and shade sails.
To make it easier for not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding, a new online application portal has been launched. The new system provides clearer guidance and a more streamlined application process, making it easier for organisations to understand requirements, track and submit their applications.
Each year, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund delivers more than $60 million to support community initiatives, making it Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity Deb Frecklington said local organisations were at the heart of Queensland communities and the latest round of grants would help them continue their important work.
Applications for round 127 close on 28 September with successful recipients announced in December.
