Over 900 gyms across Australia are opening their doors for the occasion, including major networks such as Fitness First, Goodlife Health Clubs, Fernwood Fitness, Plus Fitness, Club Lime, Zap Fitness, World Gym and more.

Banana grower Miki Buchanan said: “It’s fantastic to have the banana gym pass back for its third year”.

“As growers, we absolutely love seeing Aussies use our bananas, not just as their ticket into the gym, but also as their go-to training snack,” she said.

“Bananas are packed with essential nutrients like potassium and vitamin B6 to restore tired muscles and keep you powered through every session.

“Make sure you grab an Aussie banana, bring a mate along and get moving on October 7.”

An Australian Bananas spokesman said fitness was always better when it was shared.

“In fact, new consumer research reveals that teaming up is the ultimate workout motivation, with nearly half (45%) of Australians feeling more inspired to get active if a mate tags along,” he said.

To claim the free work-out for yourself or your mate, simply buy an Aussie banana each from your local supermarket or grocer and present it at any participating gym.
