After 25 fiercely contested ends, Leach held his nerve to secure the narrowest of victories in one of the standout contests of the season.

On the same day, the men’s pairs produced a very different storyline, with Doug Juhas and Warren Sinclair delivering a commanding 24-9 win over David Leach and Joe Van Tienen in their championship round. Juhas and Sinclair controlled the match from the outset, showcasing consistency and precision across the board.

Thursday afternoon social bowls on 4 June brought another close finish, with the team of Hayden Hohnke, Matt Aucello and Vince Cooper taking the win on 23 points.
