Helping hand for many
A HOST of organisations are recipients in the latest round of recommended community and support program grants at Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s monthly meeting on 25 September.

At the same meeting the council adopted a new child safety and wellbeing policy.
Here is the list of grants under the ‘community infrastructure program stream’:
Tully Gem Club, window replacement Project - $28,052
Innisfail United Football Club, concrete footpaths - $11,875
Innisfail & District Men’s Shed, fence upgrade - $8211
Innisfail District Cricket Assn, Goondi Bend pitch 1 upgrade - $21,883
Goondi Primary P&C Assn, cold water drinking fountains - $13,187
QCWA Branch Flying Fish Point, cottage stump repairs - $5000
Rainforest School Parents and Friends, Frogs Hollow storage shed - $30,000
Tully Rugby League Football Club, Grandstand and Field Lighting (incl roller door) - $3467
Innisfail District Gem & Allied Crafts Club, electrical works - $12,867
Tully and District Men’s Shed, shed upgrade - installing fans - $15,458 (cond).

The council also endorsed a list of recommended grants under its ‘community projects and initiatives program stream’:
