The project site extends from approximately 80 metres north of the Aldridge Road intersection to approximately 300 metres south of the Poppi Road intersection.

“The roadworks, include widening the road to allow for the installation of wide centre line treatment and replacing or extending seven culverts to ensure the ongoing efficiency of drainage during heavy rain,” Transport and Main Roads Minister Brent Mickelberg said.

The upgrades are part of the jointly funded, historic $9 billion Bruce Highway Target Safety Program which started earlier this year.

The construction at Aldridge Road started in early September and are expected to be completed by late 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.

For real-time information on any current roadworks, motorists are advised to check the QLDTraffic website or app.
