Impressive academic efforts

INNISFAIL State College honoured its highest achieving Year 12 graduates last month, recognising outstanding academic effort and dedication at a special ceremony where the 2025 Dux and subject award recipients were announced.

Sienna Broccardo was named Most Outstanding Graduate for Applied/VET Subjects, in recognition of her strong commitment to vocational education and training. During her time at the college, she completed an impressive six certificate qualifications, reflecting both her work ethic and enthusiasm for practical learning pathways.

After earning multiple awards last year and achieving the school’s highest ATAR of 96.85, Lily De Brincat was announced as the 2025 College Dux. This accolade recognises her consistent diligence and academic excellence throughout her senior years. De Brincat has now commenced a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Queensland, marking the beginning of a promising tertiary journey.

A total of 111 students received a Senior Education Profile; 109 students completed one or more VET qualifications, which included, 109 Certificate II, 26 Certificate III, two Certificate IV and two Certificate I.

A total of 15 students completed or are completing a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship and 100% of students exited Year 12 with either a QCE or QCIA.

The school community extended warm congratulations to all graduating students and wished them every success as they embarked on further study, training, and employment.
