Those and other memorable lyrics and lines will be heard on Saturday 31 October, when the historic Con Theatre hosts an absolute wild and untamed night of sci-fi double-feature fun with a special screening of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the cinematic madness kicking off at 8pm.

“Did you think Rocky Horror Movie Night was only for the Rocky Horror fans? No, it’s for Halloween lovers as well,” beamed Erika Swiney, president of the Friends of the Con group, in a recent social media callout.

Organisers Jason and Lorelei Sou are swapping traditional trick-or-treating for something far more memorable.

“We always wanted to see a stage production of it, but every time we were in Sydney or Brisbane, we missed it by a couple of days,” Mr Sou explained to The Observer.

“The next best thing is an interactive movie night.”

After hosting a last-minute screening five years ago that drew nearly 100 enthusiasts, the team knew Halloween was the ultimate date to bring the cult classic back to life.

Skipping the midnight madness for a friendlier evening start, they’re preparing for the real possibility of packing all 160 seats.

Far from a quiet night at the cinema, patrons are in for a delightfully chaotic interactive treat.

Organisers have lovingly assembled 100 interactive gift bags crammed with over a dozen prop goodies – complete with an instructional guide on when to unleash them.

You’ll find newspapers to shield your head during the rain scene, glow sticks to illuminate the dark and plenty of cheeky surprises (watch out for squirt-bottle rain squalls).

Costumes are enthusiastically encouraged. Whether you choose to don fishnets and sweet-transvestite corsets, channel Brad and Janet, or show up as a classic ghoul or superhero, there are prizes up for grabs for the best dressed.

To keep your spirits lifted, themed cocktails, drinks and snacks will be flowing freely from the theatre kiosk.

At just $15 per person, tickets are an absolute steal for a night destined to give you a thrill.

So, give yourself over to absolute pleasure, dust off your fishnet stockings, and head down to the Con Theatre this Halloween – Jason promises it to be “a hell of a night”.
