Club member Lee Porter said “one very important consideration (by the club) is support for our young citizens during their important school years”.

“Cardwell State School thanked the Cardwell Lions Club for their recent donation of a front row sound system, at a cost of $1875, to assist students who have been diagnosed with hearing impairments and supports their teachers and students in general classroom situations,” he said.

It is the second donation by the club in the last couple of months.

The club also donated a $3247 posture lift chair designed to provide more comfort, costing $3246.88 to the Cardwell Medical Practice.
