Morning golfers are winners
THE morning groups stole the show at Innisfail Golf Club in the past fortnight, with Colin Bidgood leading a dominant run in Saturday’s 18-hole stroke competition, carding a superb three under 69 off the stick to outplay the afternoon field.
Bidgood’s round set the tone early, with John McCarthy (-2) and Steven Marsh (-1) close behind to complete a strong top three. The afternoon players pushed hard but could not close the gap, with Kevin Walsh (+1) finishing as the best of the afternoon groups.

Wednesday All Sporters – 15 July
A solid field turned out mid week, with Craig Alman taking top honours on 28 points, ahead of Alan Cooper (24 points) and Paul Laffin (23 points). NTP: Craig Alman.

Fresh from a spell, Bryce Hoad returned in style to claim the Friday Sporters win with 19 points, edging out Norm Stewart (17 points on countback) and James Ferguson (17 points). NTP: Norm Stewart.
