Nets out of water
THE seasonal stinger nets have now been removed across the Cassowary Coast, marking the end of another marine stinger season.
A Cassowary Coast Regional Council spokeswoman said hopefully it would be the beginning of plenty more picture-perfect beach mornings.
“With cooler weather, clear water, this is one of the best times of year to get out and enjoy our coastline,” she said.
“While the peak marine stinger season has now concluded, marine stingers can still be present outside of the declared season, so we’re reminding everyone to continue taking care when entering the water.
“Please observe beach safety signage, check local conditions and make informed decisions when enjoying our beaches and waterways.
“Stay safe and enjoy everything our beautiful Cassowary Coast beaches have to offer.”
