New chapter for club
THE Innisfail RSL Club on the town’s riverfront has been rebranded as the Innisfail Community and Services Club as Cazalys Cairns takes over running the business.

Manager Kellie Price said a new chapter was beginning for one of Innisfail’s most iconic community venues and “we’re excited to share the journey with our members and the wider community”.
“With a fresh new name and a clear vision for the club, we would first like to acknowledge and thank the members, volunteers, staff and supporters who have contributed to the club’s proud history over many years,” she said.
“The community spirit built through the Innisfail RSL has created a legacy that deserves to be celebrated and we are committed to honouring that legacy as we look to the future.
“While you notice some exciting changes, you’ll still be welcomed by the friendly faces you know and love.
“Our team is staying on and is excited to continue serving the community as we begin this new era together.
“We have a clear vision for the future of the club – one that celebrates community, connection, entertainment, hospitality and exceptional value for members.
“While meaningful change takes time, we are committed to making ongoing improvements that will create a vibrant and welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike.
“Perfectly positioned on Innisfail’s iconic riverfront, the club is excited to be part of the town’s next chapter.
“We are encouraged by council’s proposed Innisfail CBD revitalisation master plan and the opportunities it presents to further enhance the riverfront precinct.
“As these plans take shape, we look forward to playing our part in creating a destination that attracts locals, visitors, families, and community groups, helping to showcase everything that makes Innisfail special.
“Over the coming months, members can look forward to refreshed promotions, new member offers, exciting events, improved facilities and more reasons to visit.
“This transformation won’t happen overnight, but every step will be guided by a commitment to creating a club that the community can be proud of.
“This is more than a change of name, it’s an opportunity to reconnect with the community, welcome new faces and build on the strong foundations already in place. We invite everyone to come in, say hello, and see what’s new.
“Better still, become a member and be part of the journey from the very beginning.
“Your support, ideas, and involvement will help us create a club that is truly built by the community, for the community.
“Together, we can honour the past, embrace the future and create a venue that becomes the place to meet, celebrate, connect and belong,” Ms Price said,
A post on the RSL club’s Facebook page said it was “the end of an era … but the beginning of a new one”.
“On behalf of the committee we would like to thank all our past and present members for their support over many years – and hope you continue to support your local club,” the post said.
“The Innisfail RSL Sub-Branch will continue on with full support from Cazalys Cairns.”
