New fresh market for town
A NEW community market is set to bring a fresh buzz to El Arish next month, with the launch of the Growing Local Markets event hosted by Gypsy Sista Events.
The indoor, air-conditioned and family-friendly market will be held on Sunday 9 November 2025 from 8am to 1pm at the El Arish Community Hall, 17 Royston Street.
Visitors can browse a diverse range of stalls featuring local makers, artists, growers and produce, while enjoying food trucks and more in a relaxed community atmosphere.
Organisers Eve and Sheree (surnames withheld) said their vision is to create an all-weather market that supports local creativity and entrepreneurship, with plans to make it a regular monthly event. Stallholder enquiries are welcome, with limited indoor spaces available and outdoor sites on offer. A food truck and coffee van are also being sought to add to the event’s vibrant mix.
Dates have been planned to avoid clashes with the long-running Mission Beach markets.
