Pascoe secured the 2027 B-grade ladies championship title

CHRISTINE Pascoe has claimed the B-grade Ladies championship at Innisfail Bowls Club, powering to a 25-13 victory over Carol McRobbie in a determined and skilful performance on 3 June. The match, marked by club president Helen Paterson, showcased Pascoe’s consistency and composure as she secured the title.

Two lively games of social bowls also unfolded on the day. Margaret Johnston, Margaret Wardrope, Dian Catelan and Cheryl Higgins proved too strong for Caterina Cook, Kath O’Brien, Vera Rowe and the ever-versatile Cheryl Higgins, who stepped in as lead for both sides taking the win 20-6.

In the second match, Louise Hoskins, Diana O’Brien, Maisie Smith and Sue Morrison defeated Dell Steve, Marilyn Allen, Ann Rule and Jan Dunn 21-15 in a competitive and entertaining contest.

With the sunshine holding beautifully, the ladies are relishing the glorious winter weather and participated in the Cassowary Coast Challenge on Tuesday, 9 June, which saw 56 bowlers on the green, and they are preparing for the Edmonton Ladies Classic on Sunday, 14 June.
