Players end year festively
THE Innisfail Ladies Bowls Club wrapped up 2025 in style on 2 December, hosting a lively Christmas celebration that brought together players from Tully, Silkwood, South Johnstone, Edmonton, Yungaburra and Innisfail for their final gathering of the year.

There was a high festive spirit, as 31 ladies took to the green dressed in their best Christmas attire.
In hot and humid conditions, ladies played one game of 10 ends and then enjoyed afternoon tea, cent sale, lucky door and money tree raffle.
A random draw from the winners and losers saw Kath O’Brien (Innisfail), Sue Rowe (Edmonton) and Lee Mayell (Silkwood) declared the winners, with Cheryl Higgins, Robyn Williams and Helen Paterson as runners up.
Helen Paterson won her fourth consecutive Innisfail ladies’ singles championship title after a dominant 25-7 victory over Lyn Stevenson in the final on 12 November.
Ladies bowls resume end of January 2026.
