Pride launch focus on preparation and standards
THE Kenfrost Homes Northern Pride officially launched their 2026 season last week, welcoming more than 100 partners, life members and key stakeholders to celebrate the year ahead.

The event brought together the Northern Pride community to reflect on the club’s foundations and look ahead to the upcoming season.
HPC head coach Sam Williams said the squad had focused strongly on preparation and standards as they build towards the first matches of the year.
“Our focus has been on preparation, standards and reminding ourselves of footprint and culture,” Mr Williams said.
“The players are hungry and we’re looking forward to getting out there and playing the style of footy we know this group is capable of,” he said.
Chairperson Kym McPhee-Smith said the club’s culture remained central to its identity and success.
“What makes me most proud is the culture our players, staff and volunteers continue to create together,” she said.
The club’s newly appointed captains also addressed the gathering.
“We want to be recognised as the team that never gives up – a group that keeps turning up for each other and for our community,” they said.
