Raffle for hospital needs
A MAJOR community raffle offering the chance to win a 2026 $50,000 Toyota RAV4 G is helping raise funds for vital equipment for the region’s local hospital.
Tickets for the charity raffle are $5 each, with the major prize being a X-2WD 2.5L hybrid auto in dusty bronze courtesy of John Cole Toyota.
The second prize is a three-night stay at Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree, including private luxury transfers from Cairns to Daintree valued at close to $8000, while third prize is a $5000 Visa card. The raffle draw will take place on 29 June 2026, with winners notified and published in public notices.
Keep an eye out for the friendly purple angels selling tickets at Innisfail Kmart on Saturdays and Sundays and at the Feast of the Senses market day on 29 March.
As part of the broader fundraising campaign, Innisfail Friends of the Hospital Foundation will hold their annual cent sale at Innisfail State College on Saturday, 23 May. All proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing much-needed equipment for the Innisfail Hospital.
