This year’s event took place two months earlier than usual and continued the popular format introduced in 2021, with students, teachers and staff all in attendance.

Before the evening celebrations, students posed for photographs with family and friends at some of the region’s most picturesque locations, which included Warrina Lakes, Paronella Park, Etty Bay and Mourilyan Harbour before an outdoor class photo at the college grounds of the 104 graduating students.

At the college, families lined the covered walkway along A-block, cheering as students’ names were announced and they made their red-carpet entrances. At the end of the walkway, students returned to their waiting vehicles which featured a stunning lineup of classic, vintage and muscle cars, and even a semi-trailer.

Under the guidance of local police, who generously volunteered their time to manage traffic and ensure safety, the impressive vehicle procession departed in groups of 10. The convoy travelled along Flying Fish Point Road, over Geraldton Bridge, past the hospital roundabout and along the Esplanade to the Innisfail Police Station, before looping through Rankin Street past Woolworths and the Post Office en route to the Shire Hall.

As each car arrived, students stepped out onto the red carpet to cheers from family, friends, and community members, marking the beginning of a glamorous evening of celebration and reflection.
