Rotary gets cash boost for programs
THE Rotary Club of Tully has received a welcome boost, with Commonwealth Bank Tully donating $750 in recognition of the club’s long standing commitment to supporting the local community.

This donation is part of CommBank’s national community donations program, which has helped hundreds of grassroots organisations across Australia by funding essential equipment, services and small scale projects. Each year, local branch teams nominate organisations they believe are making a meaningful difference in their communities.
This year, Tully branch staff selected the Rotary Club of Tully, acknowledging the vital role the club plays in strengthening the region through volunteer work, fundraising and community support initiatives.
CommBank Tully branch manager Natalie Sala said the program allowed staff to directly support the organisations they saw making a real impact. “Community organisations play an essential role in supporting people when it matters most and we’re proud to support that work,” she said.
“Through our community donations program, our branches have seen firsthand how this support helps local organisations extend their reach and continue delivering vital services. Our teams live and work in the community and have a strong understanding of local needs and the organisations responding to them.”
She said Rotary’s contribution to the region made them a standout choice. “The work Rotary Club of Tully does have a meaningful impact on people across our local community and we’re proud to support the important role they play.”
Now in its eighth year, the program is running across every CommBank branch nationwide, with more than $600,000 being distributed to community groups in 2026. The initiative aims to ensure even more grassroots organisations can access funding for small but important projects that help build a brighter future for Australians.
