The shops will provide new or pre-loved uniforms, shoes, backpacks and school supplies with locations including Innisfail and Tully. There is a possibility there will be one at Cardwell.

The Innisfail pop-up is in the Innisfail Shire Hall, 70 Rankin St on 16 January and the Tully shop is at Centacare FNQ, 33 Butler St on 19 January. Opening times are 11am-2pm.

Centacare FNQ is expanding its much-loved School Savvy FNQ initiative into a year-round community support service with the launch of a new School Savvy Hub in Cairns this week.

The hub at 66 Pease Street, Manoora, opened yesterday and will help local children and families stay connected to learning through ongoing support, workshops, and wellbeing programs that encourage positive engagement and strengthen family involvement in education.

In the lead-up to the 2026 back-to-school campaign, the community is encouraged to donate new or pre-loved uniforms, shoes, backpacks and school supplies at the new hub or at any St Vincent de Paul outlet across the region.
