Mr Stenlake, accompanied by Michelle Fitzmaurice, paid tribute to Sinatra’s long-time friend and colleague Liza Minelli, with her stirring rendition of ‘Maybe This Time’ from Cabaret, with musical director and composer from Geelong, Kym Dillon, on piano.
‘Frankly Sinatra’, a new and exciting concert by Promac Productions, included a 20-song repertoire of Sinatra’s classic hits such as ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘Mack the Knife’, ‘All the Way’, ‘Bewitched’, ‘Bothered and Bewildered’, ‘High Hopes’, ‘True Love’, ‘Night and Day’, ‘My Way’ and ‘New York, New York’.
More recently, Mr Stenlake appeared in the Australian tour of ‘The 39 Steps and The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale’ and his next gig is a support role as James Packer in ‘Fenech’, a film about Australian boxer, Jeff Fenech.
In 2024, Mr Stenlake won The Glugs award for best actor in a musical for his role as Colonel Parker in the ‘Elvis: A musical revolution national tour’.
His extensive musical theatre career includes starring in the national tour of ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Georgy Girl’, ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Truth, Beauty and A Picture of You’, ‘Songs For A New World’ and the ‘Pajama Game’.
His career in Australian film, television and theatre industry spans 20 years and he is best known for his lead role as commander Mike Flynn in ‘Sea Patrol’ and in five seasons of the hit series ‘Stingers’, where he played the lead role of constable Oscar Stone, both of which aired on Channel Nine.
