Students thank their mums
MUNDOO State School has been filled with warmth, laughter and heartfelt as the school celebrated the joy of motherhood.

A high tea brought together an inspiring group of mothers, grandmothers, aunties, great grandmothers, sisters and carers for a morning of celebration and gratitude.
Principal Andrew Maley welcomed guests and spoke about the vital role women play in the lives of students and the wider community.
“In a world that is changing faster than before, the role of mothers and caregivers continues to evolve,” he said.

“You are not only nurturers and supporters but also role models, teachers, problem solvers and champions for your children.”
He acknowledged the daily juggle many families face.
“You balance busy lives, navigate new challenges and still find the time to provide love, guidance and encouragement. The care and commitment you show shapes, not only your children, but the future of our wider community.”
Mr Maley thanked guests for their love and support and hoped the event offered a chance to “relax, connect and feel appreciated by your children and the school community.”

Guests enjoyed a beautifully prepared morning tea catered by staff and parents while being entertained by Mundoo State School students.
Years 3-6 students presented original poems and the prep-year 2 students delighted the crowd with their sweet rendition of ‘Thank You Mum.’
The event once again showcased the strong, vibrant school culture that continues to thrive at Mundoo State School.
