The trial aims to assess whether delivering customer services from within the library provides a more convenient and accessible experience for the Tully community.

The move also supports preparations for planned upgrades to the civic centre.

Mayor Teresa Millwood said the trial was an opportunity to explore how council could deliver services in ways that better met community needs.

“We want to make it easier for people to access the services they use most,” she said.

“The library is already a well-used community space with convenient parking and extended opening hours.

“This trial will help us understand whether combining services in one location offers real benefits for residents.

“We’re encouraging everyone who visits customer service during the trial to share their feedback. Their experiences will directly influence the decision on the long-term location.”

From 5 January, a feedback period begins, inviting customers to complete a short survey.
