Cassowary Coast Regional Council is partnering with the Innisfail Show Society to bring back Waste to Art for the 111th Innisfail Show.

“Whether you’re an artist, student, keen crafter, school group, or simply passionate about sustainability, this is your chance to transform discarded materials into something creative and inspiring,” a council spokeswoman said.

“With the 2026 theme ‘Reimagine waste’, entries must be created using recycled, reused or discarded materials to highlight the value of giving waste a second life.

“Help us turn waste into something wonderful while inspiring others to rethink what we throw away.”
