United celebrates 40 years with very successful 2025
THIS month, the Innisfail United Football Club capped off a successful season by recognising its standout senior teams and individual players at a gala awards presentation dinner.

A crowd of 130 supporters, players and officials gathered at Brothers Leagues Club Innisfail to celebrate a year of achievement and dedication on the pitch.
In 2026, the club celebrated its 40th anniversary milestone. Club patron Tony Buzolich had the honour of cutting a special cake and reflected on four decades of Innisfail United history.
The club’s continued strength shone through with seven junior and six senior competitive teams taking to the field across the various competitions.
Innisfail’s Football Queensland premier league Under 23 Men’s team progressed to the preliminary final but were edged out 2-1 by Edge Hill.
Innisfail’s under 23 ladies team also reached the preliminary final before going down 3-1 to Marlin Coast.
Innisfail’s premier men’s team featured in the semi-finals but saw their campaign end with a close 3-2 loss to Edge Hill.
Innisfail’s division two men’s team also made the semi-finals but suffered defeat at the hands of Redlynch.
A highlight of the night included the recognition of two dedicated members, Tony Buzolich and Natasha Di Carlo who received life membership in recognition of their significant contributions to the club over many years.
President Paulo Di Carlo, who has led the club for 20 years, took the opportunity to thank the club’s tireless support network. He acknowledged the club’s valued major sponsors, individual player sponsors, club patrons Tony Buzolich and Joseph Camuglia and gave a special mention to Tom Orr for his 17 years of club photography.
Di Carlo also extended his gratitude to the committee members, coaches, managers, canteen workers, grounds/maintenance crew, volunteers, parents and all supporters for their essential work in making the season a success.
