The event brought together a panel of practitioners who shared clear and actionable strategies for staying well. Guest presenters included Dr Kim Favier and Dr Leonie Fromberg from Tully and Mission Beach Medical Centres, Jennifer Hamilton of Hamilton Dental, Rob Harris and Briley Curnoe from Cassowary Coast Physiotherapy, Susan Kelly from Susan Kelly Yoga, as well as Yoko Yasui of Yoko@Mission, specialising in massage and craniosacral therapy.

Jennifer Hamilton highlighted how oral health is deeply connected to overall wellbeing, while Yoko Yasui explored the relationship between mind, body and emotional space in her presentation, ‘Mind Your Space Within’. Yoga teacher, Susan Kelly offered practical insights into movement, resilience, and the power of small daily habits to support long term health.

Attendees described the evening as both informative and uplifting, with many leaving motivated to make simple, sustainable changes to improve their wellbeing.

The network continues to grow, now boasting 70 members across a diverse range of businesses across the Cassowary Coast region. Women who attend events or join the network say they value the opportunity to build connections, share their business stories, expand their business’ visibility, access skills development and make new friends.

The celebrations continue this month, with CCBWN hosting a long lunch and ‘Bubbles on the Beach’ on Sunday, 8 March from 12-4pm at King Reef Resort, Kurrimine Beach.

The event marks International Women’s Day, the network’s 22nd birthday, and another year of impressive growth.

As a birthday bonus, tickets are $40 for both members and guests which includes a welcome drink and sumptuous lunch. Online bookings must be made by 3pm on 4 March via www.trybooking.com/DJBMT.
