Call for board applicants
REGIONAL Development Australia (RDA) Tropical North is seeking applications from highly motivated Far North Queenslanders for four vacant board positions.
RDA Tropical North chairwoman Hurriyet Babacan said the board was seeking a broad mix of skills, experience and regional representation to complement the seven current directors and support meaningful regional development outcomes across Tropical North Queensland.
“With a board of 11 members, RDA Tropical North draws on diverse business and community perspectives. We particularly encourage applications from individuals with financial expertise, First Nations representatives and young people,” she said.
“Each board member is a volunteer and their time on the board is very rewarding as the RDA not only makes an impact on our local region, but it is also part of a broader network influencing Northern Australia policies. They must be knowledgeable about the economic, social, cultural and environmental opportunities and challenges facing our region.”
